In order to join successfully, position the second length on top of the first length so that it overlaps it by a few centimetres. Take care to line up the pattern. Then cut through both, remove the strips and the two sheets will now meet perfectly.
Seams can be welded cold with a coldwelding cushion floor sealant fluid. Insert the applicator-needle well into the seam until it touches the subfloor. The needle will allow the fluid to flow into the seam. Run a cloth or roller along the seam to flatten the material into position. We recommend: Cold welding Werner Müller type A and type C.
1. Preparation
Measure your space. Measure maximum width and length of the room taking any recess or doorway into consideration and adding approximately 8 cm / 3,15 inch to each dimension.

The subfloor must be clean, solid, level and free from grit, grease, oil, polish and paint.

TIP to make the floor more flexible and easier to handle. Lay the material out flat in a larger room for an hour or two at a temperature of ± 18°C / 68°F.

Ensure you have the proper tools within reach:
* a paint scraper
* a sharp, straight blade knife
* a tape measure
* a long straight-edge
* seam-welding fluid if joins are necessary
* acrylic adhesive or double sided tape
2. Cut your material
Cut your material, in an open space, ensuring that each side is 5 cm / 1,97 inch larger than the dimensions of the room. Roll the cushion floor up with the pattern on the inside.
3. Installing the tape
If fitted loosely, a double-sided softener resistant tape must be used on the edges of the room.
4. Fitting & cutting
Before laying the vinyl flooring in the room select a wall to use as a starting point to ensure the wall is parallel with the pattern. Put the cushion floor in the room and unroll it. Sweep the cushion floor towards the walls starting from the middle of the room to remove any trapped air underneath. Cut the cushion floor to size along the doors and thresholds

Press the cushion floor firmly outwards and downwards at the corners. Trim the cushion flooring precisely to size by placing a small block of wood firmly against the wall and hold your knife against the block of wood keeping it as vertical as possible
5. Finishing
Remove the strip of the double sided tape and fix the cushion floor.
For floors fitted in a large area (more then 20 m2 / 23,92 yd2 / 200 sq.ft.) full adhesion is required. We recommend wet bonding for the installation of cushion floor onto absorbent sub floors. Touch-dry bonding is recommended on non-absorbent substrates. Following adhesive manufacturers instructions will ensure a satisfactory result when fitting your Domo cushion floor; HENKEL, UZIN and MAPEI.
